Kids' Birthday Party Guide by Budget: Free to $500+

Where to celebrate in Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda at every budget

By Natalia Thompson August 19, 2026

Planning a kids' birthday party in Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda? You do not need a big budget to throw a party your child will talk about all year. We pulled together local options and sorted them by what you'll actually spend — from completely free beaches and splash pads to all-inclusive packages.

Prices below were verified with each venue's website in August 2026. Always call to confirm current rates, minimums and availability before you book.

🌴 Free: Beaches, Parks & Splash Pads

Bring your own cake, balloons and cooler — the venue is free. Note that county parks charge for parking at the beaches (75¢/hour), and if you want a guaranteed table you'll need a pavilion reservation (see the next section). First-come, first-served picnic tables cost nothing.

💡 Free-party tips: arrive an hour early to claim a table, bring a pop-up canopy for shade, and keep decorations wind-proof (tape and weights — no loose balloons near the water). A splash pad party = wet kids, so ask parents to pack towels and a change of clothes in the invitation.

📋 Before You Book: A Quick Checklist

  • Book early. County pavilions must be reserved and paid at least 14 days ahead, and cancellations inside 14 days forfeit the fee.
  • Watch the minimums. Bowl 360 requires 10 guests; Kidstar requires 4. Per-child pricing plus tax and service charges can add 20%+ to the sticker price.
  • Ask about outside food. Some venues allow your own cake only; parks let you bring everything.
  • Have a rain plan. Summer in Southwest Florida means afternoon storms — a covered pavilion or an indoor backup saves the day.
  • Deposits. Most party venues want 50% (often non-refundable) to hold your date.
