Neighborhood Fall Festival Returns to Strengthen Community Connections

The City of Punta Gorda and Punta Gorda Charlotte Library partner for

Second Annual Neighborhood Fall Festival

The City of Punta Gorda and the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library are proud to host the Second Annual Neighborhood Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library, located at 401 Shreve Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.

This free, family-friendly event was inspired by Punta Gorda’s famed block parties and offered residents a welcome respite after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. In 2024, the City partnered with the YMCA of Southwest Florida to host the inaugural Fall Festival at the Cooper Street Recreation Center. The Rec Center lawn became a trick-or-treat circuit staffed by more than a dozen local nonprofits, who handed out candy and shared information about vital community resources. Local businesses provided free food, and festivalgoers enjoyed costume contests, an old-fashioned dessert walk, a spooky dance party, and activities like spider races and ghost bowling. This year’s festival will feature all the favorites from last year, along with spookier fun and games, even more nonprofit trick or treat partners, and expanded sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.

Community connection is at the heart of the Fall Festival, and the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library was a natural choice for this year’s co-host.  “By partnering with the Library, the City helps bridge different parts of our community—families, students, seniors, and local organizations—encouraging stronger neighbor-to-neighbor relationships,” said City Manager Melissa Reichert. Youth Services Librarian Liz Lee agreed, adding, “we love connecting our patrons with community members and building partnerships to provide resources for families.” City and Library staff look forward to celebrating fall fun with friends, families, and neighbors of all ages.

While City staff will not be hosting Halloween on Harvey Street this year, Halloween activities will be held by various community groups throughout Punta Gorda. “Additional Halloween festivities in the community will take place,” Reichert said. “Punta Gorda is the place to be for the Fall Festival on October 25^th and for traditional trick or treating and fun on October 31^st.”
